Welcome to Notary Guide. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Notary Guide browser extension, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Notary Guide ("we," "us," or "our").
By installing the extension or accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
By creating an account, installing the browser extension, or otherwise accessing the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Notary Guide provides compliance reference guides for notarial acts across all 50 United States. The Service includes step-by-step guides, fee schedules, journal requirements, and legal citations sourced from state statutes and administrative codes.
Important: Notary Guide is a reference tool and does not constitute legal advice. Users are responsible for verifying compliance requirements with their state's commissioning authority.
Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes.
Notary Guide offers Free, Pro, and Signing Agent subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account settings.
You agree not to:
All content, code, designs, and data within the Service are the property of Notary Guide or its licensors. Legal citations and statutory text are public domain. Our compilation, organization, and presentation of compliance data is proprietary.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that compliance data is complete, current, or error-free. We make no guarantees regarding uptime or availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Notary Guide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
